You are the joy of my life every day

and who will run down my empty halls?
Who will wiggle their butt, anyway
When I come home after a long day
and who will Monty have to bark at?
Have you ever thought of that?

'cause I'll miss you every single day
Who will greet every morning of my life?
And who will be the one to chase our rat?
We don't even have a cat for that
Who will drop black hair on my rug
If you aren't here for me to love and hug

I need you here to bark and play
And what strangers will there be to kiss?
Where will you be, my sweet little miss?
Who will Sissy have to get all excited
Without you the whole house is blighted
And what sweet dog can David talk to?
Nobody understands each other like you and he do
Who will be there to lay on Patrick's lap
We need you here on his lap to take your nap
