In Memory of Lee Dudley
It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of a trusted and beloved Workforce Investment Board colleague Lee Dudley.
Leland ("Lee") Dudley, colleague, consultant, and friend of the City of Los Angeles Workforce Investment Board, passed away on Friday, June 22, 2012. He had just turned 82.
His presence, know-how and institutional memory of all facets of the Los Angeles Workforce Investment Board leaves an abyss not only in the daily workings of the board, but also in the hearts of its members.
Lee had worked as an executive at IBM for over 40 years, during which time he served on the City's Private Industry Council, the governance body preceding the WIB. After retirement, Lee stayed on as a consultant, assisting in the formation of the WIB. He had been continuously active in service to the WIB since his retirement.
May our thoughts and prayers be with his family at this time.
