SOUTH PASADENA - Police arrested a suspect in Monday's break-in where the burglar fled on a bicycle with $200 in jewelry.

Sean Patrick Lynch, 30, of Pasadena was arrested Tuesday and booked on suspicion of burglary, receiving stolen property and possession of methamphetamine. He was being held at Pasadena Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.

Police also recovered part of the jewelry taken from a house in the 2000 block of Meridian Avenue on Monday and stolen property from four other burglaries, according to South Pasadena Police Sgt. Tony Abdalla.

Abdalla said a burglar cut a window screen to get into the Meridian Avenue house. The resident came home at about 12:45 p.m., Monday and found the burglar. The man rode away on a red and white mountain bike.

Police said Lynch, who used to live in South Pasadena, is also a suspect in two vehicle burglaries and two residential burglaries that happened between Oct. 17 and Oct. 26 in South Pasadena.

Abdalla said officers found items stolen from those burglaries such as an iPhone battery charger and a computer hard drive at Lynch's residence. Officers also recovered a mountain bike.
