Development and sales ended November 1, 2008
After careful consideration, Adobe has decided to discontinue sales and development of Adobe® Graphics Server 2.1 software. Some of the image processing functionality available in Adobe Graphics Server can also be found as part of the Adobe Scene7® hosted solution. Existing Graphics Server customers are encouraged to consider alternatives such as Scene7.
Adobe will honor technical support contracts for Adobe Graphics Server 2.1 until they expire. For additional support information, visit the Adobe Graphics Server Developer Knowledgebase or post a question on the user forum.

Adobe Graphics Server FAQ
Q: Why is Adobe discontinuing development and sales of Adobe Graphic Server?
A: Adobe made this decision based on analysis of the server marketplace and customer feedback. Demand for the product has declined to the point where it is no longer economically viable for Adobe to continue development and support.
Q: When will Adobe discontinue development and sales of Graphics Server?
A: Adobe Graphics Server development and sales ended November 1, 2008.
Q: Will there be any future updates to Adobe Graphics Server 2.1?
A: No.
Q: Why should Adobe Graphics Server customers consider Adobe Scene7?
A: Adobe Scene7 offers a wide range of rich media solutions and services for large enterprise companies and small businesses. These solutions include raster imaging functionality similar to the functionality in Graphics Server, such as content sizing, editing, formatting, and zoom and pan. However, unlike Graphics Server, Scene7 offers these features (and many others) as part of a comprehensive, web-based Software as a Service (SaaS) platform. Learn more about Adobe Scene7
Q: Will there be any official upgrade or migration path for existing Adobe Graphics Server customers to Adobe Scene7?
A: No. While Adobe Graphics Server and Adobe Scene7 share some similar raster imaging functionality, there are significant technical, licensing, pricing, and support differences that make an upgrade and migration path unfeasible. For example, while Graphics Server supports vector and raster file formats such as PDF, EPS, and Adobe Photoshop® 7 PSD, Scene7 does not currently offer the equivalent level of support for all Graphics Server supported file formats. In addition to file formats, many Graphics Server APIs and commands are not supported by the Scene7 offerings. Conversely, Scene7 offers more comprehensive solutions and services than Graphics Server, such as Dynamic Imaging, eVideo, eCatalogs, Media Portal, and more.
Q: Besides Adobe Scene7, are there any other Adobe products that can be considered as a replacement for Adobe Graphics Server?
A: No.
Q: Where can I find information on other products similar to the Adobe Graphics Server?
A: Other dynamic imaging software can be found on the dynamic imaging page on Wikipedia.
Q: Can I use my Adobe Photoshop license on a server as a replacement for Graphics Server?
A: No. The Photoshop End-User License Agreement does not permit use of the software as a component of a server-based system, workflow, or service. For complete information on any Adobe End-User License Agreement, visit the product license agreement page.
Q: How do I get technical support for Adobe Graphics Server?
A: For additional support information, visit the Graphics Server Developer Knowledgebase, or post a question on the user forum.
Q: Can I contact someone at Adobe if I still have questions about Graphics Server?
A: Yes. You can contact Adobe Customer Service in your region. Specific contact information and hours of operation vary by region. Find the Customer Service number for your region.
