As a marketer, Ms. Dailey, I couldn't disagree with you more. Once Tiger started to cash in the tens of millions in endorsement checks he's received over the past several years, his sold his image. He signed the contracts that contained the "ethics and morality" clauses. He agreed to hold himself to a pristine public standard. By his actions, he risks the associative reputations of the products and services that pay him much, much more than he would ever earn on a golf course. If you want to tell the world to "butt out", why don't you first place calls to the executives at Nike or AT&T or Gatorade (PepsiCo) or Tag Heuer or Accenture or Gillette? I highly doubt that would share your point of view. Far from it.
